On Friday afternoon, a routine traffic stop lead to the arrest of two individuals. Bristow Police Officer Thomas McKinzie was following a vehicle down Main Street when he noticed the muffler of the car, dragging the ground and the exhaust being very loud. McKinzie made the stop at 6th and Main. Upon approaching the vehicle, the driver, David McClish, was asked for his drivers license and insurance verification. McClish told the officer his license was suspended. His passenger was Chastity Lloyd. After running a check on both suspects, it came back that Lloyd had a possible warrant out of Collinsville. Lloyd was then asked if there was anything in the car that the officer needed to know about. Lloyd's alleged answer was there was some meth in the car. Upon searching the vehicle, the officer found several marijuana containers, along with some burnt roaches. A grocery bag with a Crown Royal bag inside of it that contained the meth and several individual bags of marijuana, and another baggie with white residue which tested positive for meth along with paraphernalia and a set of brass knuckles. Lloyd admitted that all the items found in the search, allegedly belonged to herself.
Both suspects were taken to the Bristow jail, where the property was booked into evidence. A total of 2.9 grams of meth and 69.7 grams of marijuana were seized from the stop. Lloyd has been charged with alleged possession of a CDS, possession of marijuana, possession of paraphernalia and possession of a dangerous weapon while McClish has been charged with allegedly driving while under suspension, a defective vehicle, possession of CDS and possession of paraphernalia. Both suspects are innocent until proven guilty in a court of law.
