An injury collision occurred near Agra, in Lincoln County. Shane Whitman, age 47, from Tryon, was driving his 1997 Chevy pickup. One passenger was in the vehicle, Kayden Whitman, age 19, also of Tryon. A 2000 Ford F350 was parked along side of the highway, with its emergency flashers going but the vehicle was partially blocking the eastbound lane. Whitman's vehicle was coming westbound when due to vision obstruction, collided with the parked vehicle. The passenger in the Chevy, was pinned for approximately 20 minutes, extracted by Chandler Fire Department using the Hurst tool. He was then transported by Medflight to OU Medical Center, admitted in critical condition.
Another accident occurred one mile south of Glenpool, in Creek County. A 2017 Ford F250 driven by Joshua Wood, age 41, of Jenks, along with his passenger, name withheld in reports but we have learned she was a softball player for Kiefer-High School, age 15. The other vehicle was a 2014 Ford Expedition driven by Kaitlyn O’Malley, age 19, of Glenpool and passenger 19 year old Manuel Garza, also of Glenpool. The accident is still under investigation but Wood was transported to St. Francis Hospital, treated and released. The 15 year old passenger was ejected approximatedly 10 feet from the accident and transported by Creek County EMS to St. Francis where she was pronounced deceased.
On Sunday, two female juveniles, both age 15, lost their lives in an UTV accident involving a 2020 Polaris Ranger. Both were from Drumright. According to reports, both victims were ejected approximately four feet from impact of the collision. Both females were pronounced deceased by medical staff
