Dr. Zeddie Cantrell, Vision Source, was recently named Optometrist of the Year by the Oklahoma Associaion of Optometric Physicians (OAOP) which is a state optometry association.
Cantrell graduated Bristow High School in 1998, then went on to graduate from Northeastern State Uiversity, in Tahlequah, in 2002 and NSUOCO in 2006.
He began working as a technician for Dr. Hiskett and Elliot in 1998 after graduating high school. He fell in love with the business and began practice in 2006 after graduating from NSUOCO.
Cantrell still resides in Bristow with his wife Jill and three children, Cambri, Zeddie III and Ryker. All the children attend Bristow Public Schools.
Cantrell is deeply involved in the community and not only has a very sucessful practice but is the Deacon of the First Baptist Church, president of the Bristow Education Foundation, is on the board of Central Tech, director of Bristow’s annual Christmas parade, a member of the Bristow Rotary Club and announcer at the Bristow High School Football games.
Cantrell not only received the honor of being named Optometrist of the Year but in 2011 was named Young Optometrist of the Year and had the honor of becoming Bristow’s Citizen of the Year in 2015.
