The members of the city council met Tuesday evening, discussing and approving agenda items for the city. Items discussed on the hospital authority side of the meeting were possible approval of a Hospital Development Plan between the Bristow Hospital Authority, the City of Bristow, and CARRUS Health, LLC, establishing the terms for operation of the existing facility and construction of a new hospital. Discussion was also made on a Letter of Agreement with Dewberry Architects for the programming and schematic design of the new hospital, to update architectural plans previously obtained by the Bristow Hospital Authority in the amount of $200,000. The council then went into executive session to discuss to discuss confidential communications with legal counsel the pending litigation in the case of Endeavor Healthcare, LLC vs. Bristow Hospital Authority in Creek County District Court Case No: CJ 2021-142.
On the city side of the agenda, the council discussed recommendation from the Planning and Zoning Board on a request to rezone property, located at 301 East 1st, from a C-2 to C-3 for the intent of a marijuana grow house.
The board discussed approval of an amnesty program to address outstanding fines and costs in Bristow Municipal Court to be developed by the Bristow Police Department and the city clerk.
The board discussed possible action adopting a resolution determining the cost of $558.07 to clean up of property located at 618 East 5th, owned by Fran Aguilera, for weeds, grass, trash and debris; also property located at 15 Edgemere Drive, owned by Peggy Matlock, in the amount of $558.07; property located in the 700 block of East 4th Street, owned by Preston Fates in the amount of $792.25 and removal of dilapated buildings on property located at 511 East 3rd Street, owned by Fay Ragsdale in the amount of $5,378.07. The council then discussed abating properties located at 1907 S. Hickory and 508 W. 8th, both properties being owned by Ron and Diane Schumacher.
Comments were heard from the city attorney and the city mayor and the meeting was then adjourned.
