For Bingo lovers in the Bristow community, fantastic news has arrived! Beginning this Saturday, March 2, the American Legion will once again host Bingo games.
Each first and third Saturday of the month, the American Legion will host Bingo for the enjoyment of the community as Legion family organizations fundraise in support of the veterans they serve. Bingo action kicks off at 6 p.m. each game night with play cost beginning at $35. Funds raised by the games support the American Legion and Sons of the American Legion organizations.
In addition to playing Bingo, attendees may purchase concessions from the American Legion Auxiliary on-site. Although the concession menu had not yet been set as of time of writing, concession foods will likely include familiar items such as hamburgers, hot dogs, Frito chili pies, soda, water, and coffee. Concession funds will support the Legion Auxiliary in fulfilling its goals in the service and support of veterans.
Legion family organizations will also be selling raffle tickets for two different sized barbecues on Bingo game nights, beginning this Saturday. The raffles will be drawn at a future date on a Bingo night as well.
For now, Bingo game nights will only be held on the first and third Saturdays of each month; however, game nights could expand to additional Saturdays, depending on the consistency of turnout.
Be sure to join the Legionnaires this Saturday at 6 p.m. as Bingo returns. For newcomers, Bingo is held in the back and downstairs area of the building. The American Legion is located at 131 West 8th Avenue.
