This is an Editors Opinion.
Over the past couple of years the community has been wanting the hospital they were promised after the big sales tax increase. Everyone is aware the hospital is fully open and up for business now. I have heard negative and good comments since the hospital reopened.
I recently had a medical problem where I had no choice but to get to a hospital and I do mean quickly, therefore I went to our local hospital. The first time the doctor on staff recommended a hospital stay, but being stubborn I refused to stay so they allowed me to go home with meds. I should have taken their advise and stayed but stubborn me didn't. I have to admit that I was worried too as to some of the comments floating around but again there was no choice in my situation. I got myself in trouble and ended up back out there. The minute I came in the entire staff was on it.
I was there three days before being shipped to a Tulsa hosptial but I can not tell you the quality of care and concern I received there from the minute I entered that front door. The entire staff was great and very concerned about my situation. There was Evelyn in Human Resources, Megan in Therapy, case management and so forth. I had three nurses while there, Cissy, Paige and Janice. The care and concern these nurses gave was impeccable. I feel every hospital should have a Janice on staff, I would call this woman a super nurse, even checking on me after I was no longer her patient. My family commented on the quality of care that was given me and how the entire staff was so helpful and concerned about everything that was going on with me and on the cleanliness of the facility.
So my thing is this, don't be afraid to go to your local hospital, its there for the community and it can save your life at any given time. If I needed to go back, I definitely would because everyone there is in your corner and are there to help you and if they can't, they will let you know and make recommendations of what is needed next. For many reasons my heartfelt thank you goes out to all of them at Carrus Lakeside Hospital.
And to all my subscribers and readers, I apologize for the office being closed but bare with me, things will get back to normal and thank you to all of those who have offered your support and help.
