The Creek County Sheriffs Department, with assistance from DEQ Oklahoma and Electronic Synergy Foundation, is holding a Free Dump Day on Saturday, June 14, at the Creek County Fairgrounds. The event will be held from 8 am. until 4 p.m., or until full. It is open to Creek County residents only and you must show proof of residency in order to use the service. Items that will be accepted are yard clipping, limbs, furniture, mattresses, batteries, electronics, tires, scrap metal and household items. Items that will not be accepted are grease, dirt, paint, rock and flammables.
And remember, the City of Bristow, with the assistance of Green Environmental, is hosting a city-wide cleanup. The event will be held on Friday, June 19 and Saturday, June 20 from 9 a.m. until 2 p.m. Residents must take their own items to Green Environmental located at 614 Industrial Road. All bulky items will be accepted, along with branches and tree debris. To be allowed to dump, residents must show a water bill and only one truck load per water bill will be accepted.
