On Tuesday, April 4, a local, general collection, blood drive occurred from around noon to 5:30 p.m. in the gym at First Baptist Church on the west side of Chestnut Street between 5th and 6th Avenues. A team of six collection staff and account manager Debbie Jacobs of the American Red Cross staffed the drive. An unknown number of local volunteers also assisted donors and staff throughout the drive.

Blue and channel catfish fair on crawfish, cut bait, and worms around points and riprap. Largemouth bass fair on plastic baits and spinnerbaits around shorelines and standing timber.
