The young man was adopted as a child. When he was a teen, he wanted to connect with his birth parents. He began living in another state with his birth father and his wife. His step-mother was loving and kind. She was able to get him a job where she worked. It paid very well.

As an introduction to the subject of 'Positive Attitude', Ray Kinslow read 'Attitude' by Charles Swindoll, as the club's devotion. Following the Positive Attitude theme, members roll call was a response to what Positive Attitude means to them. Responses included: 'Always look for joy in life', 'Singing old hymns', 'Look at the positive side', 'Make someone laugh', and 'Don't worry, be happy'.

Light Up Bristow community Holiday lighting contest

It is that time of year again. The Holidays are drawing near. Are you one of those people who go all out with decoarting the exterior of your home with Holiday cheer. To get everyone in the Holiday spirit, the Bristow News will again host, in partnership with Crown Auto of Bristow, a “Light Up Bristow” contest. This contest is for residential entries only. Stop by the Bristow News office at 112 W. 6th Street and pick up an entry form, you may even cut one out of the paper, complete and return to the office. You may also pick up the entry form at Crown Auto, 901 S. Roland but all entry forms must be returned to the Bristow News office no later than 3 pm on Dec. 13. Judging will take place on Friday, Dec. 15 at 6:30 p.m.
