Since opening in late 2020 as a venue of Lazy D Events, LLC., Vintage Room has served up delicious Sunday dinners and fun event rentals for its patrons. Recently, however, its owners Shannon and Matt McDonald changed Vintage Room’s offerings.

One change the McDonald’s have made involves those Sunday dinners; although Vintage Room remains available for event rentals, Shannon stopped hosting those regular dinners. Instead, she occasionally serves up homemade pizza by preorder as well as for some special events and event rentals. All of her pizzas are large, sixteen-inch pizzas and come in a variety of toppings. Previous toppings have included traditional single and combination toppings, chicken bacon, chicken bacon ranch, and veggie pizzas among others. Shannon always lists what pizzas will be available for purchase on the “Vintage Room” Facebook page.

As a venue, Vintage Room can be booked for family and community fun, meetings, parties, dances, and more. Common rentals include birthday, graduation, and anniversary parties, wedding and baby showers and receptions, reunions, and organizational and business meetings. Vintage Room offers a beautifully clean space to gather with a commercial kitchen, new appliances, refurbished floor, and renovated amenities for event rentals.

In addition to Vintage Room’s availability as an event center and Shannon’s pizza events, she also recently opened a boutique inside Vintage Room’s north end. Through her boutique, Shannon sells unique purses, home décor, candles, food items, gifts, apparel, specialty coffees and teas, select furniture paint, gift baskets, and more. Fortunately for customers, she also sells their flavorful pecans. In fact, this author has not tasted a better pecan. Over the last year, Vintage Room’s evolution added a lovely boutique, tasty pizza events, and joined in the festivities and consumerfriendly shopping experiences of the Slick Market by opening for business on market days. Shannon opens the boutique by request and appointment, during privately hosted events, and during Slick Market days to ensure shoppers get the access they need to the products they want. For reference, the next Slick Market will be February 11. For a new shopping experience with quality local area vendors, be sure to attend and check out the Slick Market as well as Vintage Room’s new boutique.
