For a very brief time, those without a vehicle in the community felt transportation desperation as Janet Minyard Taylor was forced to cease her services. With her abrupt departure, her customers panicked. Thankfully,Taylor-Made Delivery and Taxi is back! Further, the business celebrated 4 years of serving the community last Sunday.

Missed and beloved by those who utilize her invaluable services, Taylor returned to doing what she loves in March: serving the community. Taylor recently found herself stricken by a brief illness, which necessitated a brief pause in offering her services. Upon speaking with her, it quickly became clear that she missed her friends and clients as much as they missed and needed her. With her return, everyone can celebrate not only her 4 years of service but by once again utilizing her services and keeping her in business for many years to come.

In March 2020, Taylor opened for business as Taylor-Made Delivery. Initially, she delivered food from local restaurants, adding items from grocery and convenience stores as she sought to fulfill requests and unmet needs. She consistently even went above and beyond making her deliveries by carrying in and putting away groceries for patrons in need and checking on some of her clients in periods of inclement weather and illness. Back then, I spoke with a couple of those clients, both of whom expressed heartfelt gratitude for her professional and caring nature. One year later, in November 2021, she added taxi service for her patrons.

Upon adding the taxi service, Taylor changed her business’ name to Taylor-Made Delivery & Taxi. Her services include taxiing patrons for errands and appointments, picking up and delivering prescriptions and online grocery orders, delivering fast food items, and running errands for her customers: shopping in-store, paying bills for clients, making copies, visiting banks, and more. Delivery services are available as far out of Bristow as 5 miles; meanwhile, she offers taxi services as far away as to the airports in Oklahoma City and Tulsa. Incredibly, she does it all six days per week.

Taylor-Made Delivery & Taxi offers services from 10 a.m. to 8 p.m. Mondays through Saturdays and only closes on Sundays. Services desired outside of operating hours require only that patrons notify her a day in advance.

See Taylor Made, Page Three As for her customers, Taylor admits that interacting with them is her favorite part of running her business. She enjoys being entrusted as a confidant and relied upon to fulfill needs that might otherwise go unmet, referring to those facets of her relationships with customers as “icing on the cake”.

Just as she has done so tirelessly and consistently for the last 4 years, Taylor plans to continue delivering and taxiing for her community for as long as she is needed. In fact, she looks forward to meeting new community members and is happy to discuss services, fees, payment options, and the possibility of helping newcomers to place orders with her. Like Pizza from the Hut or a tasty Sonic treat?

Or maybe you want a taco from the Mayo or the Bell?

Or does sesame chicken from Lin Cuisine sound really just as swell?

Is a big Mac what you’re craving or a sub from Subway too?

Pick up the phone and Taylor- Made will bring it straight to you!

Do you have a script that needs picked up or maybe a taxi ride?

Call Taylor-Made she’ll do it… She’s always on your side!

Had you rather have a case of beer and a pack of cigarettes?

Just call Janet because this is just as easy as it gets!
