A subject that has been on a lot of residents minds is “will our kids get to have Day Camp this year”?

Day Camp is held each year, the first part of June, but last year Day Camp was not able to be held due the the outbreak of the Corona virus and due to the wide spread pandemic, the Bristow swimming pool was also not open. The pool is a big part of Day Camp and without the pool camp can not be held.

This year again, there will be no Day Camp. After careful consideration, the city voted to not open the pool this year but instead to begin immediately, tearing out the old pool in order to construct a new one. The old pool will be torn down to the shell, all decking and components will be removed and replaced, bringing a brand new pool for the enjoyment of the children and the residents of the city. So be patience, Day Camp will happen next year and will be better than ever.
