Son allegedly shoots father in chest

The Creek County Sheriff's offce was dispatched to a residence at 3774 S. 465th West Ave. in Jennings. The report states that the department received a 911 call from Stepehn Ray Haddock, Jr. saying he had just shot his father.

After arriving on the scene, the offcers found Stephen Ray Haddock Sr., lying on his side in the bedroom, bloody and with a gunshot wound to the chest. Haddock, Jr. was taken to the sheriff's department for questioning. He was read his miranda rights and asked if he knew why he was there. Haddock allegedly answered, “Yes, because I shot my dad.”

Haddock allegedly told the investigator that he felt like he had been raped over the last several nights. The report stated that Haddock claimed he had slept with his gun for several nights. Upon waking up that morning, Haddock went downstairs to confront his parents. Elizabeth Haddock was in the kitchen. Haddock asked his mother to come into the bedroom with him where his dad was, so he could talk to both of them. Haddock allegedly stated he confronted both of his parents and asked if they had been raping him. Elizabeth Haddock told him she had no idea what he was talking about and continued to ask him to put the gun down. Haddock Sr. allegedly told Jr. if he thought someone was doing this to him then he needed to call 911. The two then got into an argument over who would call 911 and Haddock then allegedly shot Haddock Sr. in the chest. The report states that Haddock Jr. then went to his room, put on his shoes and a long sleeve shirt and dialed 911.

Haddock is currently being held at the Creek County Justice Center on first degree murder charges.
