Sapulpa resident loses life in vehicle collision

A fatality collision occurred at 6400 S. 209th West Ave., six miles west of Sapulpa. A 2010 Hyundai Elantra, driven by Hayle Burr, age 24 of Tulsa, was southbound on South 209th and for an unknown reason, departed the roadway, striking a tree. Burr was taken by Creek County EMS to St. Francis Hospital, in Tulsa, but passed away in route to the hospital from massive trunk injuries. Her passenger was a 4 year old male. He was transported by Creek County EMS to St. Francis, admitted in stable condition. The child was thrown approximately 13 feet from the vehicle. Neither the driver or the passenger were wearing seat belts at the time of the accident.

Another accident occurred three miles west of Bristow on West 241st Street South, when a 2015 Chrysler 200, driven by Sadie Slaybaugh, of Sapulpa. Slaybaugh was backing out of her driveway when she struck a five year old female, of Bristow. The child was walking behind the car when it struck her. She was taken to St. Francis Children's Hospital, admitted in serious condition.
