The Bristow Public Library has a new library director, Heather Hutto. Hutto just recently began her duties as director. She comes to the library with a Master of Science in Library and Information from the University of North Texas and a Project Lead The Way certification and is obtaining her International Society for Technology in Education certification.
As a child, Hutto moved all over the Untied States as her dad served as a boatswain and also served on air sea rescue missions in the U.S. Coast Guard. The family finally settled in Oklahoma. She says she has fallen in love with the town of Bristow and is in the process of relocating to the area with her family. Her hobbies include gardening and beekeeping, hiking and fly fishing. Hutto's favorite authors are Kurt Vonnegut, Jr. and Zora Neale Hurston.
