Last week a strange object, now called a monolith, was spotted in Utah's Red Rock Country. The area in which the monolith was found is a remote area, described as rugged and very rocky and considered to be a very tough place to get to by vehicle or on foot. Wildlife biologists were performing a search, by helicopter, surveying bighorn sheep, when they spotted something very unusual and decided to take a closer look. It was not a big horn sheep but a large three sided, metallic object stuck in the ground. Utah officials shared photos of the object. The object appeared to be made of stainless steel, put together with rivets and embedded into the rock. It is reported that whoever took the time to place the object had to have used some type of concrete cutting tool or something to really dig down, almost in the exact shape of the object and embed it really well. It is reported that the monolith was about 11 feet tall. How deep the monolith went into the ground was a mystery. No one seemed to know who put it there or why it was put there. Was it the work of an artist or aliens?

About 10 days after the monolith was discovered, it was gone. All that remained Saturday, was a triangular piece of metal covering a triangular shaped hole in the rocks. No one knows who removed it. A spokesperson for the Bureau of Land Management said they did not remove the object.

So what was this mysterious object that disppeared as fast as it appeared. Possibly the object will turn up in another remote area.
