The Muscogee Creek Nation Department of Health partnered with Bristow Public Schools to host a drive thru COVID-19 vaccination event for the Bristow community. This event was for anyone in the community who wished to get a vaccine. Workers from the health department “ sweltered the heat, on Monday, June 14, to give the community the opportunity to get a COVID vaccine. The event took place in the Bristow Band parking lot, (just west of the Freeland Center at 2 Weatherwood Way). The Pfizer vaccine was offered to any individual, ages 12 years or older. Individuals ages 12 – 17 did have to have parental consent and a parent with them at the time of the vaccine.
The MCN Health Department will return July 1, 2021, from 9 a.m. - 4 p.m. for the second round of the vaccine. This event will be held at the same location. Anyone wishing to get their second vaccine can make an appointment at www.creekhealth.org/covid vaccine.
