When I was campaigning for this position, I had three points to my platform: transparency, community and growth. I also said that I would donate a large portion of my salary towards things for the city. I feel that I have been 100% transparent, and in keeping with that I would like to share with you some of the things I have purchased, or helped purchase, since May.

The biggest expense was $2200 for the Christmas tree. Additionally, I paid $425 for Christmas lights.

I have paid a little over a $1,000.00 for landscaping at various parks – the results of which may not be evident until spring. But I promise you, you will notice the beautification of the efforts.

I have purchased metal detectors for the Police Department, paid for murals on public buildings, picnic tables for the food truck court, bicycles for prizes, meals for different departments, Christmas gifts for charities, overtime for security for Western Heritage Days, and donations to Bristow Area Social Services.

I am blessed to be the Mayor of Bristow. I consider it an honor to serve in this capacity. I have held this office for just slightly over nine months, and I guarantee that I have learned something new every single day. I love this job. I love the relationships that have developed and the direction we are headed.

Thank you for your support. Thank you for encouragement and even for your criticism. As always, feel free to call me with your questions or concerns.
