Bristow Gardening Enthusiasts recently posted an alert to their Facebook page: “Oh, my! Alert Print House & More! The Grinch is stealing their lights!” Holiday amusement ensued. Print House & More owners expressed creativity with their holiday decorations when they chose to place a very grinchy Grinch above their storefront display with a light strand in hand, not-sosubtly attempting to sneak away with them, to the delightfully heroic dismay and concern of community youngsters. Once spotted by a small group of preschoolers and toddlers, the youngsters began to squeal excitedly, demanding action.

Their demands? They desperately begged and appealed to parents and grandparents for “a big step stool to stop the Mr. Grinch. Help! He's stealing the lights! ... Shame on you, Mr. Grinch! Shame on you! ... Sshhh. We can be quiet and take them out of his hands...' Onlookers noted how they tiptoed and held small fingers over their mouths as they practiced sneaking up on the Grinch, mostly gracefully, in a way that only the youngest among us can accomplish.

Unfortunately, Dr. Seuss’ Grinch seems to have eluded their efforts and the attention of Bristow Police officers much to the children’s dismay— and the joyous delight of parents and grandparents everywhere.

We can only hope more businesses and families will join the Palmers in such holiday fun and hijinks for many Christmases to come.
