First annual “Bristow Bucks” scheduled this year

After the great show of support for the shop local campaign, Bristow Strong, initiated by Kristine Wyatt, a group of volunteers decided to revive the Bristow Retail Merchants Association, promoting Bristow businesses and bringing fun and prizes to the community this holiday season.

A group of small business advocates, Michelle Morquecho, Susan Banks, Dana Fortney and Kristin Weaver worked with merchants to organize “Bristow Bucks”, a promotion that will this holiday season give away $4,000 to local shoppers to spend at participating businesses.

“The response from the area businesses has been overwhelming, “said Kristin Weaver. “Shoppers, volunteers and businesses are inthe Christmas spirit and want to be involved. To attract more businesses to our community, we must start by supporting the businesses we already have.”

From Nov. 26, 2020 until Dec. 2, 2020 you can get your tickets to be entered into the drawing which is scheduled for Dec. 3, 2020. More information is available at Bristow Bucks participating sponsors.

The Bristow Retail Merchants Association will also be operating the community ice skating rink on Thursdays, Fridays and Saturdays during the holiday. The speakers on Main Street will have festive music for the entire community to enjoy.
