This weekend at the Tabouleh Fest our local Bristow library, Montfort and Allie B. Jones Memorial Library, teamed up with our local animal rescue, Bristow Barnyard, for a Pet Adoption Drive. The drive was located in the library parking lot at the finish line of the Wildflower Run. Librarians passed out Summer Reading Program materials while children and adults alike cuddled and loved on 13 homeless puppies and kittens. By the end of the day, all animals were approved to soon be moved to their forever homes. Bristow Barnyards', Beth Roberts reports that "A record of the most adoptions in a single day was set by the caring people of Bristow and the Tabouleh Fest attendees." She says that the work is never done, for the very next day after the festival, 7 new animals came into the rescue after being dumped on the side of a country road.

For more information on how you can help the rescue feed, re-home, and care for our orphaned Creek County animals please call (918) 500-3295 or find Beth on Facebook at Bristows Furry Friends group.

The library's Tails and Tales Summer Reading Program 2021 begins June 9 with three fun-filled programs on June 9, June 16, and June 23. You can also join Ms. Elsie for a weekly Storytime for all ages on Wednesday mornings at 10am in the large conference room. The library is fully open for programs, computer access, and of course, book check-out.
