Look Past The Rain

Image
Body

When driving in the rain, my husband, Jim, always waits until the rain is heavy enough to keep the windshield wipers wet and not squeaking before he turns them on. I asked him how he can see to drive in the rain without wipers and he said, 'I look past the rain.'

Considering this statement has brought me peace of mind in times o9f stress and anxiety. I remind myself to look beyond the current circumstances, to look past the rain, and have faith that better times will come. This brings me hope, and thus the anxiety lifts for me to see things in a better light.

DISCUSSION; Can you think of circumstances that cause you anxiety and turn them around to find hope by telling yourself to look ahead to a better future?
