The Freeland Center for the Performing Arts celebrates the most wonderful time of year with Buddy Holly and the Holly Jolly Christmas

This holiday season, take a trip back in time as Buddy Holly and the Holly Jolly Christmas Show bring to life the timeless music of rock 'n' roll pioneer Buddy Holly at the Freeland Center in Bristow December 2 at 7:30pm.

All your Buddy Holly favorites will be on tap with a yuletide twist, 'That'll Be the Day,' 'Peggy Sue,' 'Love Me,' 'Rave On,' 'Oh Boy,' and so many more will have the audience reminiscing and singing along with these classic charttoppers. Buddy Holly (Micheal Rappe) will be joined on-stage by Ritchie Valens (Andy Sanchez), 'The Big Bopper' (Trico Blue) and others, bringing back the best of the 50's and 60's music Micheal Rappe, who performs the role of Buddy Holly says, 'Every song brings back waves of instant nostalgia and will get you dancing like there is no tomorrow. But what makes this concert truly special is the festive twist it brings to the holiday season. Buddy Holly's classic tunes infused with the Christmas spirit will be a magical journey that is a perfect blend of nostalgia, holiday spirit, and good ol' rock 'n' roll!'

The Freeland Center is happy to bring a reprise of the Buddy Holly concert that was performed at the Bristow venue in February 2019 commemorating the 60th anniversary of 'The Day the Music Died' when Buddy Holly, Ritchie Valens, 'The Big Bopper' ( J.P. Richardson), along with pilot Richard Peterson, all died in a plane crash outside of Clear Lake, Iowa.

Tickets are on sale now for the December 2 performance. The show starts at 7:30pm and doors open at 6:30pm. The Freeland Center for the Performing Arts, located at 2 Weatherwood Way, Bristow, OK is a short drive from downtown Tulsa on historic Route 66.
