On Tuesday, April 20, a single car collision occurred on SH16 near 433rd West Ave, approximately six miles east of Shamrock.
Randy Carol Duren, age 69, of Drumright, was traveling in his 2012 Dodge Ram when an accident occurred. The cause of the accident is unknown and is under investigations.
Duren was taken by Creek County EMS to St. Francis Hospital, in Tulsa, admitted in critical condition with head, trunk, arm and leg injuries. Duren later died from his injuries.
Seatbelts were not in use and the airbags did not deploy.
