President Lyndon B. Johnson established February as American Heart Month in December 1963 and the first heart health month was celebrated in February 1964. The first Friday of American Heart Month is also National Wear Red Day.

FFA Chapter Officers attend annual COLT Conference

Officers of the Bristow FFA chapter participated in the 2023 Oklahoma FFA Chapter Officer Leadership Training Conference Sept. 12 at the Glenpool Conference in Glenpool, Oklahoma. The eight state FFA officers planned and conducted this year's conference, which was based on the theme 'Empower.

Heart disease is the leading casue of death in the United States for both men and women, although women lead when it comes to heart disease. Heart disease does not pick and choose who it hits. Every year one in four deaths are casued by heart disease.
