VFW to hold Flea Market and Burger sale, Saturday

The veterans of Post 3656 invites everyone to the VFW on Saturday, March 7, 2020 for its monthly flea market. The VFW will be selling fried onion hamburgers/cheesburgers for $5. The meal will include a burger, chips and a drink. If you would like to rent a table at the flea market, contact (918) 856- 8395 for information. If you have items around your house that you would like to dispose of, you can donate them by bringing them to the post or by calling and the post will pick the items up.

BHS counselors hold seminars for seniors

This year Bristow High School counselors tried something new for seniors to get answers about their future from people who have a hand in it. From learning the ins and outs of minor automobile maintenance and troubleshooting to learning how to file their taxes, the Senior Seminar was hosted at the Freewill Baptist. The morning began with a motivational speech led by pastor Greg Villines. Bristow Seniors were then dismissed to different areas of interest. These classes were hosted by many volunteers including Rachel Snapp from OCAP, Jan Clark from Bristow Medical Center, Jorge Chacon, Kaylen Kelly, and Brent Blansett of BHS Alumni, Michael Armer and Robin D’Onofrio. Van Hodges and Libby Ross from Super H. Pharmacy, sergeant Karlee Yeoman of National Guard, Matt Smith of D.S Drelich, Kris Wyatt from The Yoga Studio, Blake Barnett from Stride Bank, Jorge Chacon from Farmers Insurance. Sarah Donegan from Webco Industries, Mickey Hall from Tax Time Solutions, Lori Knight TCC, Chelsey Farrow and Stacy Dugan from Valmont Industries, Greg Stromme from Braum’s Incorporation. Sable Vasquez of OSU-IT, Amber Ashley-Hall, Platnium Rity, Joey Scott from Waterstone Mortage. Daryl Snell from BNSF Railroad, Blake Barnett, of Stride Bank, Deanna Adame and Julie Paden, of Bristow Public School.
