Two seniors from Bristow High School served as pages for Rep. Kyle Hilbert, R-Bristow, in the Oklahoma House of Representatives this month.

Paike McNiel served as a page from March 8-March 11 and is the daughter of Pecos McNiel and Skye McNiel. She recently signed to play soccer at Southwest Baptist University in Bolivar, Missouri, where she’ll major in elementary education and minor in youth ministry. In addition to playing soccer at BHS, where she is varsity team captain, she is also a valedictorian of distinction.

McNiel is also involved in BHS Student Council, National Honor Society and National Technical Honor Society. She serves as vice president of the Bristow FFA Chapter, serves on American Farmers and Ranchers Youth Council, is a member of Superintendent Joy Hofmeister’s Student Advisory Council, and is a member of Secretary Blayne Arthur’s Oklahoma Agriculture Youth Council. She is also leader of the Proverbs 31:25 girls’ Bible study and is involved in pre-engineering class.

Abby Bell, daughter of Steven and Julie Bell, served as a House page from March 29- April 1. She plans to attend Oklahoma State University and major in agriculture communications, with the ultimate goal of becoming a RFD-TV broadcaster.

She is involved in BHS Student Council, serves as FFA president, Leo Club President, and is a member of BHS pep club. Bell is also heavily involved in National Honor Society, Oklahoma Agriculture Youth Council and American Farmers and Ranchers Youth Advisory Council.

Bell was the Bristow High School 2020 Homecoming Queen, the Grand Champion Market Steer at the American Royal and the Overall Champion Showman at OYE. She has served her community through over 200 hours of volunteer service, including with the Bristow Community Blood Drive and Bristow Trash-Off Day, as well as many other vol unteer opportunities.

“Both Paike and Abby are tremendously intelligent and hard-working young women with a passion for serving the people of Oklahoma,” Hilbert said. “They both represented their high school and the people of House District 29 well. With students like Paike and Abby preparing to lead our state someday, Oklahoma’s future is very bright.”

Rep. Kyle Hilbert, a Republican represents House District 29 in the Oklahoma House of Representatives. His district includes portions of Creek and Tulsa counties. He serves as vice chair of the House Appropriations & Budget Committee.
