The local Bristow Noon Lions Club was presented its official 100th Anniversary / Centennial Citation and Presidential banner from the Lions Club International President Douglas X. Alexander. The certificate reads; Congratulations on your 100th anniversary!

Your centennial is an extraordinary milestone that speak to the compassion and dedication of your Lions. For a century, your community has been transformed by the kindness and of your club. But it is your hard work that sustains and strengthens your club’s enduring legacy of service.

It is because of clubs like yours that Lions Club International has remained the global leader in service for more than a century. You are helping your local and global communities, shaping our future, and showing the world that when we embrace the joy that comes with Service from the Heart, we can make the world a better place for everyone.

Take pride in your achievement and look ahead for new opportunities to serve. It is up to you to carry on the good work and inspire the next generation of great volunteers.

Congratulations again on your anniversary, and I look forward to your many years of continued service.

This citation was presented by the current District Governor 3E, David Wooddall and past District Governor Dollie Wooddall for Bartlesville, Oklahoma at the regular Wednesday Lions Club meeting. Accepting the citation and banned is David Baker the KidSight Program Chairman.

District Governor David Wooddall also presented anniversary awards and pins to local members.

Wooddall, thanked the four(4) members for their exemplary service and dedication for the Lions Club and the Bristow community.

District Governor Wooddall commended the Bristow Lions Club members for their continued work in the Kidsight programs and being leaders in the state of Oklahoma for proactively building relationships with local school districts and early childcare centers to help children get early vision screenings to prevent missed educational opportunities at an early age.

Vision Screening Chairman, David Baker, noted that the Lions members has confirmed verbal commitments for the Bristow Jumpstart and Pre-K Centers, commitments for

Gypsie schools. We have proactively invited other area school districts like Depew, Stroud, Kellyville and the private schools in the Bristow area.

Our goal is to have them all screened by the end of the semester. Baker noted that we are excited about our new camera and we want to assist the children in our surrounding communities identify vision issues early for their students.
