Who’s Right About What’s Left?

When a family built their house, they found huge sandstone rocks of various sizes on their land. Some were five feet by three or four feet by ten inches thick! They noticed unusual impressions in them.

An archaeologist explained what was found. Rippled impressions in one huge sandstone indicated rapid fossilization of receding waves. Trace fossils of sea lilies and worms were also discovered.

Fossilized algae and crustaceans were abundant. These amazing fossils were located in Payne County! A deep ocean once covered Oklahoma. How else can this be explained?

The Bible says, “Noah walked with God” (Genesis 6:9). God told Noah to build an ark: “In the six hundredth year of Noah’s life, in the second month, on the seventeenth day of the month, on the same day all the fountains of the great deep burst open, and the floodgates of the sky were opened.

“The rain fell upon the earth for forty days and forty nights…Noah and Shem and Ham and Japheth, the sons of Noah, and Noah’s wife and the three wives of his sons with them, entered the ark” (Genesis 7:11-13). God had warned everyone (2 Peter 2:5), but only eight listened! Many people still don’t listen.

A father of two pre-teens began descending the Grand Canyon at Kaibab Pass on the south rim. He stopped his children. “Look!” Embedded in the cliff were several fossils of ocean-bottom creatures. Proof of a global flood! Evolution’s “shallow ocean, local flood theory'' can't answer this.

In 1902 several skeletons of deep-ocean animals were discovered 150 miles from Cairo, Egypt. Whales, sharks, crocodiles, stingrays, and turtles were among the most remarkable desert fossils. These fossils prove the Bible account of a deep ocean world-wide flood!

God made a promise to us after the global flood: “I Myself do establish My covenant with you, and with your descendants after you…all flesh shall never again be cut off by the water of the flood, neither shall there again be a flood to destroy the earth.”

God said, “This is the sign of the covenant which I am making between Me and you…for all successive generations; I set My bow in the cloud, and it shall be for a sign of a covenant between Me and the earth…the bow will be seen in the cloud” (Genesis 9:9, 11-14).

Have you ever seen a rainbow? That is God’s reminder of His promise. Jesus believed in the flood (Matthew 24:37- 39). Please read these truths in your own Bible.

We can also trust the Bible when we read that Jesus died to take away our sins (1 Corinthians 15:3; Romans 6:3-6).

So, who’s right about the fossils that have been left? God!
