Where Is Atlantis?

The lost city of Atlantis. Where do you think it might be? Many books have been written by several authors detailing their opinions. After all, no one truly knows with certainty that this “lost” ancient city actually once existed.

People around the world are so focused on something that may actually only exist in men’s minds. It may only be a myth! Why give so much time, energy, and money to what might just be part of a fantasy?

Why not go searching for a reality instead?

Jesus has said, “So, I tell you, continue asking, and it will be given to you. Keep on searching, and you will find. Be knocking, and the door will open for you. You will receive, if you always ask. You will find, if you continue looking. And, the door will open for you, if you continue knocking” (Matthew 7:7-8).

The apostle John wrote, “About the Word of Life: What has existed since the beginning, we heard, we saw with our own eyes, we watched, and we touched with our hands. That Life was shown to us. We saw it. We can prove it. We are telling you about that Eternal Life that was with the Father. This Life was shown to us” (1 John 1:1-2).

Now to you also we are telling the things we have seen and heard…We are writing these things to you that you may be full of joy with us” (1 John 1:4). Why search for an elusive possibility when you can confidently have a proven reality?

Someone wrote that all the apostles were executed except John, who was banished to the Isle of Patmos. They died for their faith! Why die for a lie?

These eyewitnesses told of what they saw and heard. Because they were there, we can have that same confidence and forgiveness of sin through Jesus Christ.

Many people today are skeptical about the message of the Bible. Why die for a lie? Others may question the historical accuracy of the Bible. If only they would read the Gospel (Good News) written by Luke!

It reads like a historical narrative. He calls Theophilus by a Roman title of prominence in both this book and his second book. Luke asked, he searched, and he knocked. He found the truth!

When men and women look for truth that will save their souls, they will find it in the pages of the Bible.
