God is Good! Psalm 118:24 (NKJV) tells us: “24This is the day the Lord has made; We will rejoice and be glad in it.”

There is a story in Mark 4 about how when Jesus and His disciples were on a boat crossing the sea and a great windstorm arose, and the boat is taking on water. As you recall, Jesus is asleep on a pillow, and the disciples wake Him and ask, “Teacher, do You not care that we are perishing?” After all the time they had spent with Him, they still ask the question: “. . . do You not care?”

Jesus responded by saying— enough to leave my heavenly throne for you—enough to be born in a dirty cattle trough for you—enough to spend three short years doing my Father’s business. I loved and cared enough for you to go through that mock trial and be beaten without mercy for you— enough to be taunted and ridiculed for you—and then crucified so you could have life.

I cared enough to be buried in someone else’s grave, because the Son of Man did not own one. I loved you enough to carry your sins into the depths of hell, overcome the sting of death as I said I would (BTW—HE ALWAYS DOES WHAT HE SAYS)—and rose from the grave to return home to My Father’s side.

If you still have doubts about whether I love and care for you, read the last page to see how this all turns out . . . and remember . . . He said to us, someday I’ll come back to get you so you can come live with the Father and Me

Many Christians are like the Welsh woman who lived in a remote valley in Wales. She went to a great deal of trouble to have electrical power installed in her home.

They noticed she didn’t use very much electricity at all. In fact, her usage was minuscule. They sent a meter reader out to check on the matter.

The man came to the door and said, “We’ve looked at the amount. Don’t you use electricity?”

“Oh yes” she said. “We turn it on every night to see how to light our lamps and then we switch it off again.”

Are you plugged into the Holy Spirit’s power? Is your light burning brightly? OR do you only turn on your Christianity when you think people are watching?
