Today, I want to assure you that God has blessings for you if you do not throw in the towel and quit. God provides hope. People can become anxious, depressed, and feel hopelessness because they take their eyes off the HOPE-GIVER. Some lose hope because of what the doctor said, or because of what circumstances are saying.
I want to assure you today that what you see as a hopeless situation does not mean that God has left you. Just because things do not work out exactly as planned does not mean that God is not involved. No matter the circumstance, God is still where He said He would be in Matthew 28:20 (NKJV):
“20. . . and lo, I am with you always, even to the end of the age.”
If you recall Ezekiel’s vision of Dry Bones in Chapter 37, it was about a people whose hope was gone - hope had died - and had been deceased for a very long time: No future - no hope - no optimism. What we learned from that passage is: IT AIN’T OVER . . . UNTIL GOD SAYS IT’S OVER!
The breath of God is HOPE! When God breathes into you - HOPE is restored anew So, if you are going through a tough patch - don’t throw in the towel just yet - it may appear that all hope is gone - but don’t give up just yet - IT AIN’T OVER . . . UNTIL GOD SAYS IT’S OVER!
We all know what it means to be at the end of our own resources. When your heart is in relationship to God’s heart - you will be able to withstand the storms of life, and THERE WILL BE STORMS! God always does His best work when you run out of gas. God always does His best work when you get to the end of YOU. When you are out of resources and reserves - God steps in if you call on His name. Pray and get your brothers and sisters in Christ to pray with you. Call me - there is a group of people who meet for prayer meeting on Wednesday evening who would love to lift you to the Lord. Read God’s word and have the hope and faith that God will intervene. God’s Word is full of promises that He always keeps - you can count on Him. WHAT HE SAYS - HE WILL DO! IT AIN’T OVER . . . UNTIL GOD SAYS IT’S OVER!
Does God still do the same kind of miracles for His people? YES! God is for you 100%! When you think it is hopeless - He can provide a new job; When you think it is hopeless - He can heal that broken relationship; When you think it is hopeless - He can restore you to a new stronger faith; When you think it is hopeless - He can heal past wrongs.
He can restore your dreams. Sounds great, but what is hope and where do we get it? God has given us a living hope. He provided a new birth through Christ. This new birth allows us to have a living hope. We cannot make it in life without hope. It is said that “We can live forty days without food, eight days without water, four minutes without air, but only a few seconds without hope.” When you lose hope - you lose everything. Hope is our greatest God given asset in life.
When you feel like you are not winning - God’s hope brings the victory. Do you feel like your hope is running out? Do you need a fresh supply of hope? God has more than you need and all you have to do is ask.
