Mayor Kris Wyat

Greetings!

I want to take time to remind residents of changes within the water billing department effective January 1, 2024.

Late fees will increase to 10%. Bills are always due on the 15th of each month. If the 15th falls on a weekend or holiday, the due date will be the following business day.

The service fee will increase to $50. THIS FEE GOES INTO EFFECT ON THE 25 TH , REGARDLESS OF WHETHER THE SERVICE HAS BEEN DISCONNECTED.

The service fee and the amount due must be paid in full to have the service reinstated. (The cutoff date is always the 25th of the month; if the 25th falls on a weekend or holiday, cutoff will be the next business day. The cutoff date is indicated on your monthly bill.) All payment arrangements must be made the day before the cutoff.

The policy for excessive cutoffs during a 12-month time frame has been changed. Effective January 1, 2024, any customer who has three cutoffs will be required to pay an additional deposit. Homeowners will be required to pay an additional $75 deposit and renters will pay a $100 deposit which must be paid before service will be reinstated. All deposits are applied toward the customer’s final bill. If any of the deposit is left over, we will mail a check to the address provided when the account is closed.

And, lastly, all landlords/owners with multiple properties will be required to pay a $75 deposit for EACH property. We still require an application and proof of ownership for each property.
