'Barry, I'm going to be late coming home today. Mrs. Hall will pick you up after school. You know her car. She will park where I always park.' said Mom. Barry said he would watch for Mrs. Hall's car. Before Mom left, she again reminded Barry of the plans and added, 'If anyone else says they are to pick you up, what should you do?
Barry replied, 'I should ask for our code word. If they do not tell me our code word, then I would go immediately to tell a teacher.' Mom answered, ' That's right. What if a person says that I had a wreck or was in the hospital and could not give them the code word?' Barry asserted 'I still would not go with that person. I would ask which hospital it was and would get a teacher to call.'
Mom smiled and said, 'Well, I can see that I do not need to worry about you. Remember to tell Mrs. Hall thank you for taking you home.'
