Creek County EMT mourn loss of co-worker

Lauren Kerns, a young Creek County EMT died suddenly last Monday evening. Lauren worked as an EMT at Creek County Ambulance for almost a year and was working toward becoming a paramedic.The circumstances surrounding her death are unknown.

Late Tuesday afternoon, a Mannford police officer, Matthew Waltman, age 42, was booked into the Creek County jail on alleged connection with an incident involving a male student at Mannford Schools.The alleged charges against Waltman is first degree rape and furnishing alcohol to a minor.

Spring is here, the days are getting longer and the daffodils are in bloom. Bristow's annual Easter Egg Hunt is just around the corner. This year the hunt will be held on Saturday, March 30, at Bristow City Park, beginning at 10 a.m. Hundreds of children and their family attend this hunt yearly.
