Monday evening, hundreds of parents and concerned citizens attended the Bristow Public School Board meeting with only one agenda item on the public's mind, especially the parents of the students attending Bristow Public Schools. It was reported in last week's edition of the Bristow News, that long time BPS Athletic Coordinator was arrested for videotaping the boys in the locker room. The board says the last background check on Robinson was done in 2021 and it came back clean. Robinson has been employed by BPS since 1974 and the parents concern is how long has this been going on.

Marla Wahl was the only parent who signed up to speak in front of the board, claiming a lot of persons have not spoken up for fear of retaliation for them but for their children. Wahl is a 1999 graduate of BPS, and has spent 15 years in the field of education. Wahl posted her entire statement on social media for the parents who were unable to attend the meeting. Because of previous complaints, which were alledgedly swept under the rug the parents feel that the superintendent of Bristow Public Schools Curtis Shelton has allegedly failed to uphold his primary responsibility and this is not acceptable. They are asking for Shelton's resignation. In Wahl's statement she says since the board members are elected officals and are in charge of supervising the performance of the superintendent, its is their opportunity to right the wrong.
