On Saturday, Oct. 3 from 8 a.m. to 2 p.m. there will be a 'Fill the Bag Food Drive' for the Bristow Social Services. The food drive will be held at Dollar General, Dollar Tree, Walmart, and Williams Grocery Store. When you arrive at any of these stores, please pick up a Bristow Social Service Food Bag at the BSS Table as you enter. Then, as you are shopping for yourself, please put some grocery items in the BSS Food Bag. After you pay for the items, please return your food bag to the table in front of the store. Members of the Board of Directors of BSS and of local Bristow Churches and Civic Clubs are requested to help watch over the tables and help hand out bags and collect them after the people bring them back out.
All the food will be distributed through the Bristow Social Services. The Bristow ocial Services helps hundreds of Bristow and local Creek County families. The businesses and residents of our community are very generous in supporting BSS. The Greater Tulsa Area United Way is a major supporter of the Bristow Social Services.
The BSS office is located at 1705 S. Chestnut Ave. in Bristow, and is open 9-3, MF. BSS was organized by local churches, businesses and community leaders and continues to be a compassionate, local organization. The organization thanks everyone for their support .
