OBN MET team shuts down grow farm in Okemah

OBN’s Marijuana Enforcement

Teams (MET) were back in Okfuskee County again today assisting with an investigation following a fire Thursday at Stems Green LLC at 2116 S Woody Guthrie in Okemah, Oklahoma.

OBN’s investigation has found evidence the marijuana business was operating with an OBN Registration obtained by fraud using a ‘straw ownership’ scheme. OBN seized 16,281 marijuana plants, 442 pounds of processed marijuana, and 8 people were taken into the custody of ICE. More arrests are expected as this investigation continues.

OBN MET Agents were assisted by OMMA, HSI, ICE, Oklahoma Department of Agriculture, State Fire Marshals Office, OSBI, Okfuskee County Sheriff ’s Office, & Okfuskee County Commissioners Office.

Over the past several years, OBN MET Agents have responded to numerous fires and explosions at marijuana businesses that were operating without a Certificate of Occupancy for fire code compliance.
