The Bristow Methodist Church is extending a special invitation to the community to come and hear guest preacher Rev. Elizabeth Horton-Ware on Sunday, July 12th at 9:30 a.m. This speaker will be of special interest to any high school and college students. Rev. The Wesley Center is named after the founder of Methodism, the Rev. John Wesley. Wesley did campus ministry at Oxford University in England. Methodism first began as a student ministry before it spread across England and the world winning millions of people to Christ. Today, there are many Wesley Centers and Wesley Foundations at colleges and universities across the United States.

Elizabeth Horton-Ware is daughter of Bristow Methodist Church’s new pastor, Rev. Chuck Horton and is filling in for him this week as he is doing ministry out of state.

The Wesley Center is located a block from the OU football stadium at 428 West Lindsey St. in Norman. The center provides a variety of student ministries to OU students including Bible Studies, weekly worship services, fellowship activities, and international mission trips that students can take part in.

Her topic will be: “The Home that Love Built” based on I John 4: 7-21. The Worship Service begins at 9:30 a.m. The church is located at 7th and Chestnut in Bristow. All are welcome.
