On Friday, May 9, the Bristow Police , assisted by the District 24 Drug and Violent Crimes Task Force, Creek and Rogers County Sheriff's office, executed a search warrant on a residence located in the 300 block of East Seventh Street in Bristow. In January this year, the National Center for Missing and Exploited Children (NCMEC) received information from KIK/MediaLab that child sexual abuse material was uploaded to KIK/MediaLab. The NECMEC created a cybertip.The IP address showed to be by Vyve Broadband and showed four videos and one photo that was uploaded to KIK/MediaLab. After request for records from Vyve and Google, a thorough investigation into the IP address, a search warrant for Shelton's residence was obtained. One suspect,Nathaniel Shelton,age 32, was taken into custody.
Numerous electronic devices were seized in order to analyze images including Shelton's cell phone which he allegedly admitted that he used for images and such. According to the probable cause affidavit, all the electronic devices seized were found in Shelton's bedroom and were sent to Homeland Security Investigation to analyze the contents. This is an ongoing investigation. Sseveral search warrants issued to different social media sites regarding Shelton's accounts have not been returned. After all devices have been analyzed, a report will be sent to the district attorney on how much content was on the devices.
Shelton was booked into Creek County Jail on charges of possession of child pornography and violation of the computer Crimes Act. His bond has been set at $350,000.
