After receiving multiple complaints regarding alleged child sexual abuse and an in-depth investigation into the accusations, 74 year old Eddie Matlock was arrested and booked into Creek County Justice Center, September 27, 2024, on three counts of alleged child sexual abuse and three counts of alleged lewd or indecent proposals/acts to a child. Matlock's bond has been set at $300,000.
Matlock's spouse of 56 years passed away a couple of weeks ago. Together they had four children, two girls and two boys. After the passing of Matlock's spouse, family members, some who are adults now, decided together to come forward and tell what Matlock allegedly had been keeping secret all these years.
A group of women showed up at the Depew Police Station, stating they wanted to file a complaint against Matlock for sexual assault and rape. Depew Chief Brandon Cooper called the Creek County Sheriff's Department to assist in the investigation. One of the victims stated that the alleged abuse started when she was in the first grade and continued through her teenage years. Another victim stated that she does not remember a time when there weren't peepholes in the bathroom, in order for him to watch as they were bathing. Another stated that the alleged abuse started when she was 11 years of age.
Also, on September 28, at 12:01 Scotty Matlock, age 53, son of Eddie, was arrested on charges of alleged CDS possession and carrying a firearm after a conviction.
