On February 28 of this year, Bristow Public Schools Athletic Director Floyd Robinson was arrested for charges of alleged peeping tom, child pornography and computer crimes.Approximately 15 boys are filing a lawsuit against Bristow Public Schools and Robinson, claiming the school knew about the alleged claims and did nothing about the situation until some boys had the courage to stand up and say enough is enough, after they caught Robinson filming them in the locker room.
Following Robinson's arrest, the Bristow Public School immediately issued the following statement via social media: A safe learning environment for students is of utmost importance to the Bristow School District. The District recently learned of allegations involving inappropriate conduct by an employee. The District took immediate action by removing the employee from school premises and notifying law enforcement. The District is cooperating with law enforcement in its investigation. Because of the confidentiality rights of the students and individuals involved, the District cannot comment further.
The lawsuit states that Robinson was a sexual predator and the school had known about it for years. It also says that the district knowingly allowed an alleged sexual predator to teach and coach teenage boys. Robinsonwasknownin school and around the community as Freaky Floyd, who had a video on his phone of the boys undressing and some of the boys nude. The lawsuit claims that school officials knew that Robinson would sit in a chair and watch the boys shower and he was known for holding the boys down and touching them inappropriately during wrestling practice.
The attorney for the boys says the school should be held accountable for allowing Robinson to remain at the school, knowing that he as a sexual predator. When you send your child to school, you are trusting that school to keep your chid safe. Robinson's prelimenary hearing is scheduled for Sept. 13, 2024 at 9:30 a.m.
