Wondering what to do this Fourth of July? Not only is Bristow having its Sam Varner Memorial Firework Celebration, there are plenty of firework shows and celebrations to choose from this Fourth of July and plenty for the whole family to enjoy, not just one day but two or maybe three.
First at the top of the list is Bristow's own Sam Varner Memorial Firework Celebration on Saturday, July 3. Sapulpa will start its firework show on Sunday, July 4, around 9:30 p.m at the golf course across from Walmart. The neighboring town of Slick will begin its celebration at 5 p.m. with fireworks at dusk; Stroud's celebration will be held on July 4, at dark in Foster Park. The neighboring town of Drumright will celebrate on Saturday, July 3, at dark in Whitlock Park. A Fun Run will start the holiday off beginning at 7:30 a.m. The City of Mannford is celebrating the fourth on Friday and Saturday, July 2 and 3 at dark at the harbor. Then on Sunday, July 4, the celebration will be held, at dark, at Keystone State Park, Pier 51.
Other happenings is the Broken Arrow Block Party at New Orleans Square on Thursday evening, July 1; Bixby is hosting its Freedom Celbration on Friday evening, July 2 at the Bentley Sports Complex, Tulsa willl hod the Folds of Honor Freedom Fest Sunday evening, July 4, at the River West Festival Park; on July 4, Jenks will host its Boom Fest at the aquarium, Sand Springs will have its fireworks in the park on July 3, just past 9 p.m. and Skiatook will host its annual Fantasy in the Sky celebration on July 4, at 7 p.m.
