Now that the holiday season is upon us, lots of questions are arising regarding the holiday activities that will be happening. As everyone who has driven down Main Street has seen, the community Christmas tree arrived on Monday, Nov. 18, and has been set into place for the holidays at 8th and Main.The lighting of the tree will be held Thanksgiving evening and the tree is now a beautiful reminder “Tis the Season”. The Christmas feeling happens when you drive through town on Rte 66 . Buildings are adorned with lights outlining the rooftops, like they did in the olden days, large snow flakes and red Christmas trees line the streets. Beautifully decorated, Main Street going through Bristow shows everyone that Christmas is here.
December 5, 2024 the annual Christmas parade will take place on Main Street. If you or your business is interested in a float, registration deadline is Dec. 2. This year's theme is a Cowboy Christmas. The parade will start at 6:30 p.m.
Other happenings that evening will be Kindergarten thru 2nd grade art show at the library from 4 - 6 p.m. Santa's reindeers will be greeting guests at 8th and Main from 5 – 8 p.m., also vendors will be set up at 8th and Main from 5 – 8 p.m. and make sure to take the children, or yourself, to visit with Santa at the Toy Museum from 6 – 8 p.m. Bristow Bucks and stamp map begins at 6 p.m. that evening.
Depew will be holding its Christmas parade on Dec. 6, 2024 starting at 6:30 p.m. Parade line up will begin at 5:30 p.m. near the high school parking lot. On Dec. 8, 2024, the First Freewill Baptist Church is holding its first annual Light Up The Hill event beginning at 5 p.m. There will be food trucks, games, live nativity, live music and a snow finale.
On Dec. 14 - 15, Faith Baptist Church, in Slick, will be hosting its annual Faith Country Christmas, with horse drawn wagon rides through the Christmas Story, hot chocolate and cookies will be available, along with Christmas activities for the children.
Dec. 15 a Holiday Market will be held at 8th and Main by the community Christmas tree. Gifting and holiday meal shopping made easy with everything from local meats, baked goods, art, hand crafts with a lot more all in one place for your convenience and pleasure.
On Dec. 20 - 21, the Bristow Garden Club will be holding its annual Lights Tour with trolley rides around to see all the community lights.
