Community Caroling
Early evening on Sunday, December 15, two area churches visited Rainbow Health Care Community’s nursing home and assisted living facilities, singing carols for and sharing candy canes with residents. Cornerstone Church and Shamrock Baptist Church members both expressed blessings and joy through their caroling activities. Cornerstone carolers went on to carol at several homes throughout the community that evening. Numerous children of all ages joined caroling festivities.
Reindeer Club
Bristow's locally owned Reindeer Club visited the Bristow Public Library on Wednesday, December 18, for their last local appearance of the season. Previously, the Reindeer Club appeared at the Cowboy Christmas tree lighting ceremony on Thursday, November 28, and throughout the evening of the Christmas parade on Thursday, December 5.
Ugly Sweater Contest
Love a good ugly sweater contest? If so, then CJ’s Bar is the place for you! Friday, December 20, the business will host a night of karaoke and an ugly sweater contest with free entry and winner prizes. Karaoke begins at 9 p.m. with the ugly sweater competition beginning at 10:30 p.m.
Pop-Up Market
A small holiday pop-up market appeared at 8th Avenue and Main Street last weekend and is expected to be set up again this weekend on Saturday and Sunday in the same location. The market offered homemade, handmade, and homegrown foods and goods.
Christmas Show & Pics with Santa
Beginning at 6 p.m. this Saturday, December 21, C & J’s presents their last musical Christmas show of the year. Santa will be making an appearance as well in a final opportunity for kids to have their photos made with him.
Tobacco Quit Kits
Creek County TSET Healthy Living Program recently announced that “tobacco quit kits” are available at various locations throughout the county, including 2, locally: Bristow Public Library and Bristow Social Services.
