Families across Creek County and surrounding areas are invited to climb, explore, and discover the big wheels and mighty machines at Bristow’s 5th Annual Touch-ATruck on Saturday, Aug. 2, 2025 from 9 a.m. to 12 p.m. at the Bristow Rodeo Arena and Sports Complex at 499 Weatherwood Way, Bristow. “This event was a dream of mine to provide for my truck loving toddler. We had about ten local trucks in 2021, but with the leadership of Kylie Thomas this event grew to fifty-seven “trucks” in 2024!” said Jamie Braden.
This year’s event is shaping up to be even bigger with more trucks, volunteers, and locally sponsored activities. Past Bristow Public Schools teacher, Letha Caudle, said “I don't have any children but I went out there for Touch-A-Truck. I've done that every single year and I love it! You don't want to know my age.”
This free, family-friendly event allows kids of all ages (or kids at heart) to get up close and hands-on with vehicles of all shapes and sizes—from fire trucks, police cars, and construction equipment to tractors, tow trucks, and much much more. Local businesses, city departments, and community partners will share their equipment, answer questions, and offer demonstrations. This event could not be free without the generosity of many Bristow families and businesses; Bristow's Berry Bros, B&B Construction, Bristow Creative Arts Center, Bristow Round Up Club, Bristow Tire & Automotive Service, Bristow U-Haul, Community Bank, Corwin Family Dentistry, Ethos Mortgage - Scott & Blake Barnett, Food Bank of Eastern Oklahoma, Green Environmental Services of Oklahoma, Kylie Thomas Photography, Lorie’s Treasure Chest, Peeps Sewing, Pizza Hut of Bristow, Rotary Club of Bristow, Shrewsbury Properties, SpiritBank, Steele Schwonke - Arrowhead Land Company, Subway of Bristow, Summer Witty - Midwest Land Group, Trinity Baptist Church, and Willeford Construction!
The Touch-A-Truck volunteers are working with Rotary Club of Bristow, Community Bank, SpiritBank, and Bristow Creative Arts Center to gather donations of school supplies and funds for supplies to share with any child that needs them. Last year the generosity of Bristow gave away over two hundred fifty backpacks filled with school supplies within the first hour. Event organizers say, “Touch-A-Truck is as exciting as Christmas morning no matter your age.”
In addition to vehicle tours and demonstrations, attendees can enjoy refreshments from thirty local vendors, free bounce houses, face painting, a mechanical bull, and meetand- greets with local mascots and community heroes because of donations from our Bristow businesses.
