Ted Coleman Foutch was born Dec. 19, 1937 to Jack and Eula Foutch in StoneBluff, Oklahoma. He departed this life Aug. 28, 2026 at the age of 88 years.
Ted grew up in and around the Stone Bluff area attending Stone Bluff Public Schools.
He was saved as a young adult, during a revival at Stone Bluff Baptist Church. He served his country faithfully and honorably with the 45 th infantry of Oklahoma’s Army National guard from 1957 to 63. Ted attended Broken Arrow Electrician College earning his Journeyman’s Electrical License. This vocation helped provide for his family through the years.
Ted held many titles. He became a husband to Ann Weaver, of Bixby, Sept. 2, 1961; they would have celebrated 65 years of marriage this year. Children soon followed, Russell, Gina and Todd. He was known as dad and Papa as the family grew.
To many others he was known as a friend. In his early years Ted was a truck driver for Pepsi Cola for a short time as well as working for Yuba heat. Ted also worked with Hughes-Anderson where he retired in 2004 after thirty plus years. Ted loved his time with family. The kids and grandkids always enjoyed when he cooked smoked bologna and chicken legs. He was an avid outdoorsman who shared many trips to New Mexico deer hunting with family and friends. He enjoyed gardening, tending cows, bailing hay and sharing rides on the tractor with the grandchildren. After moving to the Depew area, he faithfully served the Lord at Depew First Baptist Church. Ted truly enjoyed his Sunday School class. He was also known for passing out Juicy Fruit Gum to the kids.
Ted is survived by his wife, Ann of the home; son, Todd Foutch of Depew, brother, Ronnie and wife Linda of Morris, Ricky and wife Kathy of Choteau; sisters, Peggy Edmonson, of Leonard, Patsy Madewell and husband Eddie, of Stilwell; seven grandchildren, Holly Thompson and husband Josh, of Stroud, Candace Robertson and husband Nate, of Oklahoma City, RaeAnna Szydlowski and husband Brandon, of Stroud, Hannah Foutch, of Stroud, Ashley Hall of Manhattan, Kansas, Russell Foutch Jr., of Depew, Wiley Cooper and Partner Hannah Geeslin, of Midwest City; son in law, John Cooper, of Tonkawa; three great grandchildren, Kennedy and Maddox Thompson and Nova Szydlowski.
He was preceded in death by his parents, son, Russell Foutch Sr.; daughter, Gina Cooper; grandson, Rieley Foutch; four brothers, Jack Foutch Jr., Jerry Foutch, Johnny Foutch and Mike Foutch; two sisters, Mary Lou Poindexter and Helen Holloway. Funeral Services will be held 10 a.m, Friday, Sept. 4, 2026 at Depew First Baptist Church.
