Earlier this year, The Old Crow Showroom, located at 121 South Main Street, held its grand opening. However, as owners Frank and Melody Wolbert re-envision their business and space, they are announcing a new celebration.

This Saturday, the Fifth of November, beginning at 10 a.m., The Old Crow Showroom invites you to its celebration of all things re-imagined. The first twenty visitors will each receive a free holiday gift, and refreshments will be served throughout the day. No purchase will be required for the free giveaways or tasty treats. Since first opening their business, the Wolberts have offered refinished furniture pieces, a variety of home interior items, custom furniture builds, and repurposed antique and home décor pieces. The Old Crow Showroom has also hosted a few exclusive art and craft consignment pieces for buyers to purchase. While The Old Crow Showroom will continue to allow local crafters to showcase some of their pieces in the store without being a full vendor, a few locals will now operate their own booth spaces in which they will showcase more of their goods for sale. In this way, vendors may assert more creative control over the presentation of their products.

Most of the booths comprise small spaces, and all booths are currently claimed by vendors. Diamond Art by Deanna, Sassy Scrapper, Beauty from Ashes Soap Company, and S & T Collectibles each serve as vendors. One space is larger and will house a thrift boutique of sorts and be operated by Styled by Grace. The vendor will offer new and secondhand clothing, accessories, and collectibles. Yet another larger booth offers more of a creative workspace the Wolberts have dubbed “A Maker’s Space”. That space will be home to Handwoven by Jen, where Jennifer Murray will operate her

See Old Crow, Page Three loom and display her weaving and macrame works.

In keeping some of their existing services, The Old Crow Showroom will continue to offer once monthly make-and-take craft and art events. During odd months, the event will be for children, and it will be free. During even months, the event will be a low-cost adult craft project. For November, the business will host a ladies’ night out workshop with a paint project and mocktails.

Melody shared their hope for the business, saying “We’re hoping for the community to have a space in which they can share their talents and where anyone can find affordable goods and a pleasant shopping experience. Please drop by and check out what we’re doing. Connecting with the community means so much to us.”

Be sure to check out the newly re-envisioned business from 10 a.m. to 5 p.m. on Thursdays thru Saturdays and from noon to 4 p.m. on Sundays. During this holiday season, they will be extending some days and hours to allow for more shopping opportunities.
