OCCA donates thousands to wildfire victims

The Okfuskee County Cattleman's Association recently held their Carcass Contest and Beef Auction in Okemah. After the youth awards event, the live auctioneer told attendees that the association would be donating sixteen loads of hay to the recent victims of the wildfires in western Oklahoma. After over three hundred thousand acres burned devastating families, ranches, and fellow Cattlemen, our local Okfuskee County Cattlemen decided to accept donations to cover the fuel costs of the sixteen drivers to and from on the eight hour round trip.

The Okfuskee County Cattlemen's Association is proud to announce that attendees donated $911 towards fuel and the members are rallying together to load the caravan in preparation for their delivery this Saturday, March 7.

If you or your business would like to make a hay or cash donation, please contact Tom Goode at (940) 393-9815 for more information. Many trucks and trailers are ready to go, but need more hay. Contact Tom to help be a part of helping fellow Oklahomans.
