We expect to see a team-first attitude from our players this year. Coach Rackley and I have worked extremely hard to change the culture of the program since taking over. We want to set a high standard by establishing clear goals and creating a positive environment that will be known for years to come. We are very detailed in our expectations on and off the field, and we continue to preach that the culture won’t change, until the players buy into the system. We want this program to be player-driven, not coach-driven and we want our players to hold each other accountable for their actions. We want our players to trust each other, believe in each other and motivate each other to become better everyday. We have a lot of talented juniors and seniors on the team this year and we want to see those players become leaders and mentor younger generations to come. We are excited for the season and can’t wait to see what the future holds for the program.
We want to develop positive mental attitudes and maximize the potential of every player in our program. We want to improve each individual player’s technical skills, strength and conditioning, and mindset in order to enhance their understanding and appreciation for the game. We hope the end result will be making the state baseball tournament for the first time in the history of the program.
