The State 4-H Horse show was held in Chickasha Oklahoma on June 10-12. The Creek County 4-H Horse club had a good show they all placed in the top ten in the Ranch Horse classes and the speed events. Winning Buckles in the speed events were in Sr, Division in stakes Lydia Jones, and Jr Kalvary Baker, In Barrels Intermediate Kazlynn Baker, Poles Jr, Kalvary Baker, and in the Ranch roping Curtis Boatman, Plus all the ribbons that was won. There was one other class that had three Creek County 4H kids.Two year of program. They were Lydia Jones, Shraee Boatman, and Kinsley Baker.This program is call 2-year-old horse-training project class. They have the horse most of the time for a least a year and they are to the train the horse and show at the State show, they can have help but do all the work themselves. The two classes at the show is a rail class and then a showmanship class. Kinsley won 4th, Lydia 5th and Shraee was 7th. There were 12 horses in the class this year.
All the kids did a great job this year and everyone should be proud of them for their work and commitment to their project. They have finished with this year and ready to start on next year.
